About Me

Chad Mooney
In a very short amount of time Chad Mooney has gone from his first band playing covers, to becoming one of San Francisco's most promising songwriters and performers. Originally from a small farming town just east of San Francisco, Chad's love of the wide open rolling California hills can be heard in his one-of-a-kind lonesome whisky rasp. His songwriting seems to disconnect with his contemporaries and better fit among the outlaw country and folk writers of America's songwriting golden age. His soulful and intimate deliverance of lyrical melodies captures his audiences and makes them part of the stories he writes about. Chad's grasp on the art of songwriting and the stories which he tells, seem to be that of a man of a far greater age.
